COURSE DESCRIPTION & OVERALL GOAL

The purpose of this training is to strengthen providers’ knowledge of TB diagnosis, treatment, and management. The conference will provide an opportunity to discuss current and emerging issues in TB, as well as perspectives for the resolution of challenges in the management of complex TB cases. Topics will include preventing missed opportunities in TB, use of NAATs for diagnosing TB, practical application of whole genome sequencing, case studies in extrapulmonary TB, current updates in TB infection, and what’s new in pediatric TB.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This conference is designed for healthcare providers who are involved in the diagnosis, treatment and management of persons with latent TB infection and disease. Physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, public health nurses, and others working in TB control are welcome to attend.
